Great news for Chester Elementary families!
Chester Elementary has qualified for free meals for all students for the 2026–2027 school year through Washington State House Bill 1238.
This means every student at Chester Elementary can receive one breakfast and one lunch each school day at no cost, regardless of household income.
You do not need to do anything for your child to receive free breakfast and lunch at Chester. But please complete a CNEEP application!
Why are we still asking families to complete a CNEEB application?
Even though meals are free for everyone at Chester, the Child Nutrition Eligibility & Education Benefit application is still very important.
If you think your household may qualify, we encourage you to complete the CNEEB Application.
The information from these applications helps Chester Elementary and our district qualify for important state and federal funding.
That funding can help support things like:
- Educational programs and student services
- Technology
- Academic support
- School improvement programs
- Fee waivers and other benefits for eligible students and families*
*For families who qualify for benefits, the Consent to Share form allows you to give permission for your student's eligibility information to be used for other qualifying school benefits.
